Lunch Box (An Option)

This post is only for Aunties Bento and for those who are afraid to be infected by this Bento madness, please do not read ( I did warn you, it's contagious and addictive) Yes..to bring lunch to school and also to work.Why not as you will save a lot of money in a long run. Invest in a good Bento box for your kids, for your self and also for your hubby. It might take a while for the hubby to see the benefit of these Bento Box but if you prepare a nice, delicious and interesting meals, I bet they will also bring their lunch to work. I was not searching for any Bento goods, in fact I was just having a window shopping but I found more and more articles about Lunch in a Box and more and more shops selling Bento products or accessories.

Just be aware that some price are being mark ups and it's quite steep. You can actually find some items ( although limited) here in Kota Kinabalu. Just go to JAPAN HOME CENTE located at the Ground Floor of Asia City Complex and DAISO at 1 Borneo. You can buy the egg mold at JHC and some accessories at DAISO. Daiso is like 100 yen shop in KL I was told and all the items are prices at RM5 and this is cheap compared to some items being sold at the online stores in KL or overseas. With the price hikes every where it's good to have a nice, pretty and good quality lunch box and bring your lunch to work. After all it has been a practice in Japan and India to bring lunch box to work.

Typically in India there are no school lunches. Children eat there lunchout side with their friends..sometimes on tables, sometimes under a tree or on the playground. They bring their lunch from home in what is called a"tiffin". This is basically a steel lunch box that stacks a few container on top of each other so that there are compartments for various food items. In it, there is typically a complete meal of rice, vegetables, and rotis(indian breads) and various other nutritious items from home.
