No Annual Fees Exemption..

I laughed when I read this post from Chegu Carol's blog about one telemarketer. You can hope to her blog to read her full stories. I quoted "He mumbled so many things before finally said, “Kak, in order for you to enjoy this service, you are exempted from the annual fees..and what more interesting, you are exempted from the fees for life which normally cost up to RM5000. In order for you to enjoy it, Kak, you only need to pay RM488 TODAY to be able to enjoy this service. You can pay via your credit card….bla..bla…” (notice, how much he had to say before revealing the RM488)"

I just met an ex credit card seller turned insurance agent last week and he told me there is no such things like annual fees exemption ...

Do you think banks are or the bank managers are stupid? hahaha

Back to the guy who met me:

He is a good insurance agent as he has a good personality to start with. He also told me 80% of his clients are teachers and many times called me CHEGU...lol

It's not that I don't believe in Insurance. We need insurance but I do read my financial book every year- it's like a bible to me hahaha and I believe in buying term and invest the rest kind of saving strategy. As for medical card ( He actually came to promote a medical card but when I declined he showed me all his other insurance stuffs), I am still working in the govertment department so... so far I am still getting free services. I don't need to pay RM100 a month ( accumulated to RM1200 a year..and RM12,000 in ten years, minus the interest) for nothing...right? tell me I am right..lol

Nicely I told him.."I will look for you when I need the service, may be when I leave the govertment service or when both me and hubby leave govertment services." And he still continues " kakak support la saya...."...alamak...

haha.u are not the only one who doesnt believe on the importance of insurance. I used to be one.
The medical card indeed has its own purpose which the 'govt hospital' cant provide you. Of course all of us prefer the best medical service aint we? How if unforeseen happens and that we need to be hospitalized in the private hospital (in the event that the govt cant proceed with the 'treatment')? That is when the medical card plays its role. and how if we met accident while travelling oversea? will the govt hospital provide assistance?.bla bla bla..
I never believe on govt service when it comes to the critical illnesses treatment.Yep sue me but I hv lotsa real life evidences on that. i mean if we still can afford the best why dont sacrifice rite? sedia kan payung sebelum hujan mah. =D

you are lucky to have ur hubby though. =) You seems to have enough umbrellas to cover d 'uncertainty' but the rest who doesnt have one shud think otherwise. this is actually MENTAL BLOCK of our people when it comes to spend money on something that we thought wont give us any 'return'. but when something happen baru terkial kial.=)

Yep juz in case u people wondering, one insurance agent is talking here.but oopsss, am not the type who like to ask ppl to buy insurance for the sake to support their 'periuk nasi' aaaah.

and yes, am talking here based on what I believe. =)

cheers!
