October could be one of my favourite month this year. I have few very obvious reasons, half of the month I won't have to wake up early, drive and go to work. It's a deepavali month and surprisingly my deepavali is getting more and more merrier than my Christmas- I wonder how could that be? Another reason for me to like October so much is that, it's also our first overseas vacation with Sona on board.Yes, we are heading to Down Under.
The first time we ( hubby and I ) went there was in 2001 and it was my first overseas vacation. It was more like a business trip cum holiday. I felt in love with Sydney. I think Australia has one of the best weather and the cleanliness of the city is superb. It worth the stay. It makes me want to come again. In 2004, I had a chance to go to Australia again and
this time it's my trip alone. I could still recall the moment my application to attend a conference there was approved. It was a last minute approval. My application was approve on a Saturday and the next day I flew to Brisbane via KLIA. I was excited. I was alone until I reached KLIA. I saw a familiar face before boarding and I am sure he is heading to Brisbane too. I approached him after we landed and imagine his shock when he saw me. So, we attended the conference together and he became my official photographer- you know it's hard to travel alone when nobody takes your photo?) Almost five years later, I am going to have the feel of the Down Under breeze again, this time the destination is Perth. I just can't wait. The trip was totally unplan. I was surfing Now Everyone Can Fly website and came accross the promotion offer. I even alert few friends including Missah and Chegu Carol. I called hubby, told him that ticket for infant is only RM200 return. He said, why not we go. I quickly clicked to book the ticket. ( Notice how easy it is to travel nowadays- no more call to the travel agent. Everything is on your finger tip) Unfortunately an event in the office forced me to postpone this trip.It cost an additional RM874 to the original RM1510. Well, we decided to proceed as the ticket to KL will be borned by the govertment and this will be Sona's first trip. So, I am busy planning the Itenerary with the help of my cousin. Anyone is planning the same trip down under, this sites are usefull, All about western Australia. We are hoping to bring Sona to see Kangaroos and Koala Bears. We are also require to apply for Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) which you can easily get from here. It only takes a few minutes to fill up the electronic forms. Australia is very strict when it comes to permitting food stuffs inside the country. It is sad as I cant bring my fruit cake for my cousin. It just happen that her birthday is in October. Hope we can get some cupcakes for her later.September was tough but everything will not stay the same, time passes and time flies. Good times will sure come and I am looking forward to the best of October, November and December. My cousin told me perth is all light up for Christmas.
