Perth, a dream destination?

A few days after coming back perth, dh asked me, " Which one do you like, Perth or Australia as a whole?"

Without any hesitation I replied " Australia as a whole".. I will share why throughout my future postings

Australia is big! or huge!

Western Australia is bigger that three countries combined. They are Japan, Germany and ( I forgot about this one, will update when my memories came back ya.). I only realised how big Western Australia is when I looked at the map. Needless to say, it's a place you will go more than once. We went to Sydney in 2001, in 2004 to Brisbane and 2009 to Perth. All places offer different kind of experiences but one thing that is certain, we went to all places in Spring. I like spring as it is not too hot and the coldness is bearable. A friend ever went to Melbourne in winter and later related to me that she didn't manage to go anyway or do anything but stays in a house as the weather is too cold for her. I was also told that summer in Perth is " really hot" so I think everyone should visit a place at the right season. Personally I had an experience going to India during the monsoon season and it was a disappointment. I am not sure about other places ( do let me know so that I know how to plan for future travel) but i strongly recommend visiting any place in Australia in spring. It should be around July, August, September and October.

I love love love Australia's home design, I wish I know someone who can build us an Australian home. This is where we lived and what car we drove while in Perth

You can feed the kanggaroos..Pink Parrot

Mr Koala...

Bf on the Go..

My first time seeing a wombat..huge and look like ' a pig'

Okey, our day 1 in perth, we took time to settle in the house, hubby cooked delicious breakfast. In the afternoon we went to get our rented car. We rented it from Ace Rent A Car . It cost us aud500 for 6 days. It's quite expensive but we rented an 8 seaters car. We could get cheaper if we rent a smaller car but we wanted to be confortable as we plan to go south the next day. You can also get cars at the Airport but you need to get it early. As Swan Valley is nearer to our aunt's house. we decided to 'ambush' the place first. After all, it's suppose to be Sona's holiday and not the parents. I told my cousin's earlier to bring Sona to see Kangaroo and Koala Bear. So, we went to Caversham Wildlife Park. This place is wonderful. We saw all sorts of birds, animals even some animals we have not seen before like Posum and few species of owls. We also managed to watch an animal show. We missed the feeding time of some farm animals but Sona has more than enough experiences feeding chicken here at my parents house so it's okay to miss the show. Look at the Koala Bear. It's quite big and we were lucky to have them awake when we were there. We spent almost three hours at the park and proceed to a choclate factory which was situated nearby. Each of us managed to fill up our stomach with free chocolate before we head to the Supermarket to buy groceries. The thing I don't like about Perth or Australia in general is that, the shops close very early. Everything will be closed by 5pm or latest by 6pm unlike here where we can shop till 10pm. Will continue with our Island Trip in the next post..

I hope one day I will get to visit Australia. I have a friend there, in Tasmania and another friend in Melborne.

Surely Sona enjoyed a lot & excited seeing all the animals exp those can't be found back to M'sia. Never thot that a wombat can be that BIG!

And congrats Deana for your 2nd baby on the way! Take care.
